Inspired by nature & developed in Switzerland, ecorepelĀ® is an environmentally friendly, high-performance water repellent technology that repels water whilst retaining fabric breathability.Ā This is also the first time we are offering our Spartan short with a 7" inseam - the shortest length we make.
When we set out to create the ultimate board shorts we wanted the perfect balance of form and function. So we took extreme performance Swiss fabrics and tailored them into great fitting trunks that we tested to near destruction on Maui and off its North Shore. (It took a long time.)

For the best hydrophobic performance please follow the below care guidelines:
- Do not use fabric softener (or softener sheets in dryer)
- Machine wash, cold
- Line dry
- Do not use bleach
- Wash with like colors
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean
- Not recommended for use in chlorine. If used in chlorine, wash after use.
To reactivate ecorepelĀ® water repellency, tumble dry, normal, low heat at least every three washes.Ā
FIT:
The Spartan Shorts are a progressive fit, tailored surf short. They run true to size, butĀ slightly slimmer than some surf companies offer. If you are in-between sizing in other brands or if you are unsure which size to go with, we suggest taking the larger size in Spartans. If you are specifically looking for a looser fit, we suggest taking a size larger than you would normally.Ā

Our Spartan Shorts feel ever so slightly shorter than a normal brand with the same sizing dimensions due to our waistband construction being more rigid.

What's the PaddleSaver PATĀ® ?
The PaddleSaver is something we developed out of necessity. We've lost our board a bunch of times since we started stand-up surfing and we've had to swim back to shore, broken leash attached to leg, paddle in hand. So we thought that something that made swimming with a paddle easier might come in handy, something like the Bluesmiths PaddleSaverā¢. It won't stop you losing your board, but at least you and your paddle are going to make it back more efficiently to shore.
The Patented PaddleSaver is included with every pair of Spartan Board Shorts.
